طالبت وزارة الخارجية الأمريكية، يوم الخميس، الحكومة العراقية بمحاسبة المسؤولين عن الهجمات التي استهدفت المطاعم والشركات الأمريكية والدولية في العاصمة بغداد.

وقال المتحدث باسم الخارجية الأمريكية ماثيو ميلر، في إيجاز صحفي اطلعت عليه وكالة شيروباك نيوز إن “تلك الهجمات تضر العمال العراقيين كما تضر رأس المال الذي يجري توظيفه هناك وبالتالي فهي هجمات على الشعب العراقي”.

وأضاف “يتعين على الحكومة العراقية اتخاذ الإجراءات المناسبة للرد على تلك الهجمات ومحاسبة الأشخاص المسؤولين عنها”.

وحث ميلر “الحكومة العراقية على إجراء تحقيق شامل وتقديم المسؤولين عن الهجمات إلى العدالة ومنع أي هجمات مستقبلية”، مشيراً إلى أن “تلك الأفعال تضعف قدرة العراق على جذب الاستثمارات الأجنبية”.

ومنذ أواخر شهر آيار/ مايو الماضي تعرضت مطاعم وشركات تحمل علامات تجارية أمريكية لهجمات واعتداءات كان آخرها مساء يوم الاثنين الماضي حيث هاجم أشخاص مطاعم في منطقة شارع فلسطين وسط بغداد، وكانت قد سبقتها هجمات على مطاعم وشركات في مناطق متفرقة من العاصمة.
