قال وزير الخارجية الإسباني، خوسيه مانويل ألباريس، اليوم الخميس، إن إسبانيا ستنضم إلى دعوى “الإبادة الجماعية” المرفوعة من قبل جنوب أفريقيا أمام محكمة العدل الدولية، ضد أفعال إسرائيل في قطاع غزة.

وقال ألباريس، إن “هدفنا الوحيد إنهاء الحرب والمضي قدماً على طريق تطبيق حل الدولتين”. وتأتي تصريحاته بعد أسبوع من اعتراف إسبانيا وأيرلندا والنرويج بدولة فلسطين، مما أثار غضب إسرائيل.

وستكون إسبانيا بذلك ثاني دولة أوروبية تنضم إلى القضية التي سبق أن انضمت لها أيرلندا، فضلا عن تشيلي والمكسيك.

وتوترت العلاقات الدبلوماسية بين إسرائيل وإسبانيا خلال الأسابيع القليلة الماضية، على خلفية اعتراف مدريد بالدولة الفلسطينية، وهي الخطوة التي لاقت تنديدا من المسؤولين الإسرائيليين الذين اعتبروها “مكافأة للإرهاب”.

وهذا الأسبوع، قالت محكمة العدل الدولية، إن السلطات الفلسطينية طلبت الانضمام كطرف في القضية.

وأضافت المحكمة في بيان، أن السلطات الفلسطينية “قدمت.. طلبا للسماح لها بالتدخل في قضية (جنوب أفريقيا ضد إسرائيل)”.

ورفعت جنوب أفريقيا في ديسمبر الماضي، دعوى قضائية أمام محكمة العدل الدولية التابعة للأمم المتحدة، ضد إسرائيل، تتهمها فيها بارتكاب أعمال إبادة جماعية في حرب غزة، وبأنها “انتهكت التزاماتها بموجب اتفاقية منع الإبادة الجماعية”.
